Franklin (TN)

Franklin finished 26th in 3A, but return nearly all of their point-getters from a year ago and look to make a statement in the new Tennessee 2A (still the largest classification in Tennessee). State Placer Owen Gobel returns after finishing 6th at 113 in 2021 and will look to climb the podium in 2022. Gobel has all of the tools to claim the top step … 2021-2022 will be his final opportunity. Gobel is joined by returning State Qualifier Rylan Schroeder. Schroeder had 2 wins at the 2021 State Tournament and will look to claim a spot on the podium in 2022.

For Franklin to make a push into the top 15 in 2A they will need Sawyer Robinson, Brock Wittman, and Dominic Green to step and punch their ticket to the state tournament in 2022. Each scored significant points at the region tournament a year ago (but with the change in the # of qualifiers they missed out on a trip to Chattanooga).
