CLARKSVILLE, TN − The #9 state-ranked Montgomery Central boys’ team recently won the Cheatham Duals in Ashland City, going 5-0 at the event and taking down rival Fairview 50-28 in the team finals.
The Indians went 5-0 on the day, winning matches over James Lawson 52-24, Cheatham Co 65-15, Cascade 77-3, Creek Wood 56-21, and Fairview 50-28.
Boys who went undefeated for Montgomery Central at 5-0 on the day were 106-pound Jack Levendusky (2 pins, 1 tech fall), 113-pound Wilson Troyani (1 pin, 2 tech falls), 132-pound Jackson Key (3 pins), 150-pound Jeremy Mills (3 pins) and 157-pound Tamarion Johnson (2 pins). Mills and Johnson both moved their season records to 25-4. 126-pound Jean Torres, 144-pound Craig Sudderth, 165-pound Cayson Rasch, and 175-pound Josh Hodges all went 4-1 at the event.
In recent Pin-TN rankings, Montgomery Central hit the rankings for the first time in team history, ranked #9 in small schools. Four individuals also hit the rankings, with Jackson Levendusky #5 at 106, Craig Sudderth #2 at 144, Jeremy Mills #4 at 150, and Tamarion Johnson #6 at 157.
